The hotel covers a total of 2,600 m2 and has 45 comfortably-furnished rooms over three floors, and three suites, making a total of 120 beds. The main hotel building is a 16th century mansion that used to be inhabited by the town's nobility and was only later converted with a new addition into a hotel in 1975. The hotel experienced its last renovation in 2008, when the majority of bedrooms were fitted with new bathrooms and the restaurant kitchen was renovated.  

The hotel is open during the whole year, with the period from April to October being high season. Many overnights in the off season are generated by local and foreign athletes and sport teams that use the nearby sport centre for training.  

Tourism is a very important part of local business and a major source of income for the Goriška region. The number of visitors has been steadily increasing, from 90,831 visitors per year in 2005 to 124,322 visitors in 2008. Similar growth has been recorded in overnight stays that increased from 231,567 overnights per year in 2005 to 332,449 overnights in 2008, an increase of 44%.
